Leaving the noisy Hanoi behind, we follow the dike road to avoid heavy traffic and ride straight to the northwest to Mai Chau. Coming here, you will be fascinated by the beautiful terraced rice fields, impressive off-road paths, and peaceful villages surrounded by majestic mountains.

Soak up the fresh air of rural northern Vietnam and keep riding on winding roads to reach Mai Chau valley in the late afternoon. Spend the rest of today in a local homestay where you can chat with the host to learn more about the daily life of people here. After having a delicious dinner with traditional dishes of the Thai ethnic minority, we relax and enjoy a good night’s sleep to regain energy for the next ride.

It is a long trip to Tan Ky, so we will have an early start today. Saying goodbye to the beautiful Mai Chau valley, our motorbike team heads to Tan Ky – a pristine mountainous district of Nghe An province, where many traces of the legendary Ho Chi Minh campaign were kept.

From Mai Chau, we embark on Highway 15C to reach Pu Luong Nature Reserve. Although this road through the forest requires a few riding skills to conquer, it offers a wonderful view of the vast terraced fields that will surely satisfy your passion for sightseeing. On the way, we will stop at Ban Hieu – a small village hidden deep in the primeval forest to enjoy lunch and a cup of Vietnamese coffee.

In the afternoon, our crew rides straight to Tan Ky. Once we get to Kilometer Zero – the starting point of the famous Ho Chi Minh Trail, do not forget to pick up the camera and take some lovely photos to keep beautiful memories during your trip to Vietnam.

From Tan Ky, continue to follow the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail until we reach the town of Pho Chau. You will have some time to rest and drink water before embarking on the journey to conquer steep roads and the spectacular mountain path crossing Da Deo Pass. It is not a joke at all but could be the best part of the whole trip today.

Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park attracts visitors with majestic limestone mountains, enchanting underground rivers, and hundreds of cave systems. Many of us have probably heard of Son Doong – the largest cave in the world, and it is located here, right in the Phong Nha Ke Bang. Discover the splendid beauty of the national park before returning to the hotel to have dinner and rest.

However, we recommend you choose the western path that offers the beautiful scenery of the primeval forest and majestic mountains stretching to the horizon. If you are lucky enough, you might even come across wild animals like monkeys, langurs, deer, etc. feeding in the forest.

We will spend the whole afternoon exploring the Khe Sanh Museum and learning about the illustrious victory of the Vietnamese army in the Khe Sanh Battle. The 4th day of the trip ends with a good night’s sleep at a hotel in Khe Sanh.
