Off-road Ha Giang Motorbike Tour Through Dong Van and Du Gia – 4 days

After having breakfast in Ha Giang city, we start the first day of this trip with a ride to the Quyet Tien fair. The market is open only once a week on Saturday mornings, where you can find colorful clothing, handicrafts, and local delicacies. You will have the chance to admire the breathtaking scenery of the most winding slopes here, Bac Son, Quan Ba ​​Heaven Gate, Co Tien Twin Mountain, and Tam Son town.

However, instead of the popular route that other travel agencies often offer, we will take you through a new track – adventurous yet inspiring. To conquer this road, you must sit on a dirt bike or an enduro motorcycle. It may take several hours to reach your destination if it rains. But the reward is worth the effort; it will be an amazing experience that you will never forget in your life. Enjoy lunch at Quan Ba ​​before we continue to Lung Khuy cave. The highlight of this ride is that it will take you through peaceful villages of upland people. Bam Dan village offers you the chance to immerse yourself in the cultural space of the Red Dao people, while Lung Tam Village is famous for long-standing brocade weaving. Pop into an adorable shop in Lung Tam if you want to purchase handbags, costumes, or scarves to take home as souvenirs.
We continue to enjoy an attractive off-road ride through the forest and remote mountain villages before reaching our homestay in Yen Minh in the late afternoon. Have dinner and spend a night here.

Enjoy breakfast at the homestay, and then we will make our way to Tham Ma pass. In the past, locals often took horses carrying heavy loads on their backs for a short trip on this pass to check their strength. If a horse keeps his power when it reaches the top, they will raise him; otherwise, he will be killed for Thang Co – a traditional dish of hill tribes.

As a part of the 4-day Ha Giang offroad motorbike tour with BM Travel Adventure, your ride will be much more exciting because instead of regular national routes, single tracks with lots of abysses and quarries are our choice. However, because of its danger, this route only fits experienced racers who are good at riding enduro or dirt bikes.

Along the way, you will also pay a visit to a peaceful village of White H’mong named Lung Cam and Pao’s house. Known as the background of the movie “Pao’s story”, this house has now become one of the travel spots not to be missed on the exploration of Dong Van Plateau. It looks like a miniature painting of the Mong’s daily life with natural beauty and mysterious charm.

King’s Palace will be our next destination. Considered a gem of Ha Giang, the Palace was built entirely from stone, fir wood, and terracotta bricks in the typical Chinese architectural style. Then, we move to the Lung Cu flagpole, Lo Lo ethnic village, and have lunch here.

In the afternoon, we keep riding to Dong Van town and check in at the hotel. Leave your luggage at the hotel, and our team will embrace the stunning road to Thien Huong village. About 6km from Dong Van town, this 100-year-old village retains the traditional beauty that tourists come to cherish. Going deep into the village, you will admire the ancient houses with double tile roofs, clay walls, and two compartments.

When it comes to Ha Giang’s beverages, we cannot help mentioning the special corn wine of the Tay people. Fermented from over 30 types of forest leaves and cooked kernels, this wine is incredibly sweet and fragrant. Enjoy dinner with corn wine and local specialties before returning to town to relax and regain energy for your next trip.

Leaving Dong Van behind, we head to Ma Pi Leng, listed among the top 4 most famous passes in Vietnam, both in beauty and danger. Riding on this pass, you will be amazed at the breathtaking scenery of the majestic limestone mountains, the poetic Nho Que river, and the peaceful villages looming afar. Conquering Ma Pi Leng Pass will bring you unforgettable experiences; however, we only recommend experienced riders to take on the challenge since the path leading to the pass is narrow, steep, and extremely slippery when it rains.

After lunch in Meo Vac town, our crew continues to hit the road to Du Gia. After long rides, it’s time for you to relax in the cool water of the waterfall. Check in the homestay and enjoy a delicious dinner with local dishes.

After breakfast, we move to Yen Minh. Feast your eyes on beautiful sceneries along the way and enjoy lunch in this town before returning to Ha Giang. Tour ends.
