Itinerary

Day 1: Saigon – Nam Cat Tien national park

Our journey will start by leaving the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City. Let’s warm up with Tri An Lake – an artificial lake in Dong Nai. The mirror-like water surface and the green of the lush forest surrounding can somewhat quench your thirst for nature.

After contemplating the tranquillity of the lake, we shall continue to go to the leading destination of the day – Nam Cat Tien Park. From here, the route is getting more and more exciting as we are going to encounter plenty of rugged roads. To get to the park, we need to cross the Dong Nai River by boat.

UNESCO recognized this vast forest as a biosphere reserve, as well as a world natural heritage site. Here you can find what you expect to see in a typical Vietnamese jungle – the omnipresent green of a multitude of trees, the silver waterfalls and rapids, and an incredible diversity of flora and fauna. The park is even more charming with relics of an ancient civilization and distinctive cultural features of several ethnic minorities.

But beholding the stunning landscapes is far from enough. We have to go trekking deeply through the forest to find Crocodile Lake. Such activity is necessary to raise a sense of adventure and make the trip more fun.

We are about to see the mighty Asian crocodiles in a swarm – just like heart-stopping scenes in some thrilling movies. We bet that this is one of the best places to visit in Vietnam for any traveler, especially those who love nature.

the birds in Nam Cat Tien National Park. If you want, we can explore the park some more. There are rare animals and plants that we cannot always see in our lives, so this is definitely a precious opportunity not to be wasted.

Then we will ride to a small town named Da Teh. The modest town is able to attract tourists’ attention with its intact beauty. Another reason for us to approach Da Teh town is that we can show off our riding skills by conquering dangerous yet gorgeous passes. Don’t forget to take some photos here as the landscape is majestic. After that, we will move to our hotel near Ta Dung Lake.

The second day of the trip will end up with a good meal with some grilled fish and local rice wine. Don’t stay up too late because the next day will burn up all your energy.

Day 3: Quang Khe – Da Lat

If you are ready, then we can commence exploring Ta Dung Lake – the miniature Ha Long Bay in Dak Nong. More than forty islets of different sizes emerging on a serene crystal clear lake will make us wonder whether this is a masterpiece of Mother Nature. This is also the favorite background of professional photographers.

After admiring the pure beauty of Ta Dung Lake, we will once again mount on our motorbikes and conquer the awaiting slopes and bumpy trails to reach the Elephant Waterfall.

On the way, we have a chance to witness the daily life of ethnic minorities in some small towns. Lieng Rowoa, also known as the Elephant Waterfall, is a remarkable attraction in Dalat of Lam Dong province. Besides the undeniable grandeur, the waterfall makes visitors curious about the giant stones with the elephant-like shape. Lurking behind the veil of water are the mysterious caves.

Then we will look at the colorful and fragrant flower fields, which have made the reputation of Dalat. Enjoying some hot coffee while contemplating a romantic landscape sounds like a good idea, right?

Day 4: Dalat - Nha Trang

Dalat is obviously one of the best destinations in Vietnam. It’s time to bid farewell to the dreamlike city and head for another beautiful spot – Nha Trang. Nha Trang is no longer a new name to foreign tourists as this city possesses the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam. Thinking about the city can make a lot of domestic tourists overjoyed.

However, you need to prepare yourself since we need to ride about 140 kilometers to get to Nha Trang. Fortunately, the route is not boring at all. We will encounter different landscapes, as well as terrifying mountain passes. This is understandable because we will be basically moving from a mountainous area to the coastal one.

Day 5: Relax at Nha Trang beach

Finally, we can see how magnificent Nha Trang is. The splendid city offers you extended white sand beaches, untouched islands, breathtaking corals under the sea, the sacred ancient Champa temples, and a vibrant atmosphere in the city center. The sapphire blue water, the graceful coconut trees swaying in the breeze, and the quiet sand beaches conspire to urge us to spend days and nights here.

If you need something more active, scuba diving and parasailing are available to serve. Another experience we highly recommend is kayaking and exploring some notable islands such as Binh Ba, Diep Son, or Salangan Island. In case you want to learn more about Vietnamese culture and religion, you’d better not ignore Long Son and Tu Van pagodas, or Ponagar temple.

At night we can visit the city center and taste some mouthwatering seafood. Shrimp, crab, oyster, fish, and some creatures you may never see before are all fresh and absolutely delicious. Besides, it’s advisable to try some delicacies like Jellyfish Noodles, Banh Can, etc. In a word, Nha Trang is simply a tourist destination that you would love to visit at least twice.

Day 6: Nha Trang – Phan Rang Thap Cham

It’s another bright day to travel, and our destination for today is Phan Rang Thap Cham in Ninh Thuan province. It’s going to be quite amazing to see the gradual change in the landscape on the way from Nha Trang to Ninh Thuan.

Have you ever imagined a desert in Vietnam? That’s what you will see in Ninh Thuan – dunes with scattering chubby cacti. Another highlight of the land is the luxuriant vineyards where you can savor bunches of juicy grapes and take some unique pictures.

Ninh Thuan is well-known for the distinctive Champa culture that still exists in many aspects here – folklore festivals, sculpture, architecture, costumes, writing, handicraft, and a myriad of relics. We then will continue to visit the renowned Cam Ranh Bay – one of the three most beautiful natural bays in the world.

We assure you that the bay is alluring in any season, and it is worth your time. And, of course, we cannot ignore Nui Chua National Park – the largest ancient primeval forest in Vietnam. As soon as you see the rich ecosystem and impressive landscapes here, you will realize that this is the trip of your life.

Day 7: Phan Rang Thap Cham – Ke Ga

Our trip is about to end, but there are still plenty of surprises for you. On the seventh day of the journey, we will together explore Po Klong Garai – the Champa tower complex that has been existing for over seven centuries. This is the most majestic Cham construction in Vietnam, where people worship the great king of the Champa Kingdom. These structures represent the zenith of construction techniques, architecture, art, and sculpture of the Champa people.

The attraction we are about to visit next is equally fantastic. Mui Ne is always one of the greatest destinations in Southern Vietnam. The immense orange dunes and tranquil beaches make the place unforgettable. There are a variety of activities for you to choose from, ranging from flying kites, swimming, sand sliding, etc. Suoi Tien (the Angel Stream), the White Dune, the Lotus Pool, and the Champa relics are also brilliant ideas for you to consider.

Last but not least, Ke Ga is a mind-blowing spot that we’d better not skip. The charm of Ke Ga is made up of stones with strange shapes, wild landscapes, and the highest and oldest lighthouse in Vietnam. In 1897, the tower was built by the French. And until now, it still looks grand yet consternating.
